Most of all web browser today provides facility to open a weblink in a new window but in Google Chrome it is something different than other web browser.In Google Chrome you can open links in a new tab or window using keyboard modifiers , method is given below.
1.Shift+click: Opens a link in a new window (just like right-clicking and selecting "Open link in new window")

2.Shift+middle+click (or shift-ctrl-click): Opens a link in a new tab, and switches to that tab immediately

3.Alt+click: Saves the contents of a link to your computer

Not only this you can also open a web links in some existing place for this click and hold on the link , and then drag it into or between any of the tabs in the tab strip.

while doing this you should see a small arrow appear showing where link will open , when you release the mouse button , the link will load at right at that arrow . if you drop it in the empty space after the last tab you will open a new tab at the end of the strip.Rather than needing to copy and paste links, you can also just drag links from other programs , such as words processor or other web browser , and drop them on the chrome tab strip in the same way.
